The food is always really good, but the Crispy Angel Wings are probably my favorite. That sweet, flavorful sauce they put on the wings is honestly one of the best sauces I’ve ever had on chicken wings. The Tea Leaf Salad is also something I really enjoy, especially watching them make it table-side. Everything has so much flavor and there’s always something a little different about the dishes here compared to your typical restaurant. The service was good too. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The only thing I’d mention is that the restaurant can get pretty loud and the tables are fairly close together, so it can feel a little crowded when it’s busy. But honestly, that wouldn’t stop me from coming back. Quality ingredients you can tell they don’t use Cisco like food.

Burmatown was packed when we visited — we were quoted a 13–28 minute wait that turned into almost an hour, so be prepared if you’re coming during peak times. We ordered quite a spread: angel wings, tea leaf salad, duck curry, BBQ pork garlic noodles, pork curry, beef curry, platha, and several bowls of coconut rice. Overall, the meal was flavorful and comforting, with a few standout dishes. The duck curry and coconut rice were amazing — easily the highlights of the meal. Honestly, I could eat endless bowls of that coconut rice. The tea leaf salad was also very good and actually more generous in portion than expected. The angel wings were nicely sauced, though the marinade itself didn’t seem to penetrate deeply into the meat (which may have been intentional). The platha was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. As for the curries, they were all enjoyable but had fairly similar flavor profiles — you could distinguish the meats more if you slowed down and really paid attention to the details. We grabbed a post shopping lunch at Burmatown, and couldn't be happier. We arrived at 1:30 p.m., just before their post-lunch pause before dinner. Not to worry, the food came quickly and we were well warned before the kitchen shut down. We had a quick lunch, sharing 2 dishes. First was Silken Cold Tofu Salad ($16). We were warned that this wasn't really a salad (no lettuce), but went ahead. A large block of soft tofu covered with pickled vegetables and a delicious mélange of spices. Very good, but shockingly cold, as advertised. Next was BBQ Pork BBQ Garlic Noodles ($18). This was a smooth rendition of this classic dish. The BBQ pork was the star here, being plentiful and delicious. The garlic, if it was there, was not noticeable. I love garlic, so I was somewhat disappointed. This was a small meal, but we took half of the noodles home. So the portions were adequate.

I couldn’t stop saying “wow!” the entire meal. Food was incredible. Make sure to order the Tea Leaf Salad. Do not miss this place!

This little spot held so much warmth - you can feel the calm immediately as you walk through the doors. The service was EXCELLENT and the food was delicious. Many dishes were also offered as vegetarian or vegan. Their recipes use butter and you can detect the rich flavor in the samosas and other dishes. The proportions were just right, the space was not overly bright but the tables had their own cute little lamp. Despite the limited size of the venue, there was plenty of seating with booths and tables. Will be back 🙌
